A note from the creator of Concept Companion

My inspiration for Concept Companion® began several years ago, when my daughter was a teenager. Like all of us in this digital age, she was deluged with information. And she had already accumulated a lot of experience. But like most bright young people, she lacked the conceptual framework to make the most of her information and experience. To make the leap from chaos to meaning. From information to wisdom.

I began to wonder if there was a practical way to introduce a young adult to a repertoire of powerful concepts that ordinarily take a lifetime to acquire. Concepts that help us understand the world, predict future events, make better decisions, and live more fulfilled lives.

That dream led me to create Concept Companion. Not just for my daughter, but for anyone seeking a convenient and efficient path to wisdom.

As you can see from my Linkedin profile, I’ve worn many hats in my life: science and philosophy student in college, researcher at the National Institutes of Health, corporate lawyer, technologist, knowledge manager, professor, professional magician, and exhibiting photographer. These diverse roles and a lifetime of reading have introduced me to hundreds of powerful concepts that have enriched my life immensely. It’s my pleasure to share my favorites with you.
